Chattahoochee Tech students win multiple awards at state conference

Earlier this month, Chattahoochee Tech students competed at the annual Phi Beta Lambda State Conference which was held in Atlanta, GA. Students competed against fellow business students from across Georgia in a variety of events.  The following students placed in events at the conference:

Accounting Analysis & Decision Making 
2nd place-Fi S Heuw
3rd place-Leslie Coleman

Accounting for Professionals
2nd Place-Kham Chanthavong

Sales Presentation
2nd Place Anthony Yockers

Help Desk
1st place Des Jennings

Networking Concepts
5th place Des Jennings

Anthony Yockers was recognized in Who's Who's in Georgia PBL for outstanding leadership and participation at the local level.

Whitney Courtney also competed for CTC in Accounting for Professionals

In addition, Chattahoochee Tech competed against nine other top Phi Beta Lambda college chapters in the annual Battle of the Chapters competition.  This competition tests the student's knowledge of the Phi Beta Lambda organization, leadership fundamentals, and parlimentary procedure.  Our college's team members: Leslie Coleman & Kham Chanthavong placed 3rd in this competition.

Also, Mrs. Lisa Houston, Business Instructor, was recognized for twenty-five years of dedicated service to both the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organizations.

 

Finally, Phi Beta Lambda would like to extend their apprecation to Mr. Gary Parker and the Accounting department at CTC for their efforts in helping our students prepare for competition.  

Congratulations to all of these students! The above mentioned first and second place winners will be representing our college and Georgia Phi Beta Lambda at the annual National Phi Beta Lambda Conference which will be held in Atlanta, GA in June.
